The Rooted Systems Leadership (RSL) Model

The Rooted Systems Leadership (RSL) Model is a practice-driven model developed by Dr. Capellan. It recognizes that individuals, families, organizations, and systems are interconnected, and that sustainable change occurs when leadership is grounded in relationships, lived expertise, cultural responsiveness, and collective accountability. The model positions families as essential partners in program design, service delivery, research, and policy development while guiding leaders to create equitable, healing-centered systems.
